Dear Creator,
I am tired. I am so tired.
It is getting harder to love.
It is now about making choices.
The world has finally opened its jaws for me.
Its teeth bruise my body,
A warning sign of the horrors of its belly.
When did it become so hard?
When did love become a choice?
When did I begin to feel unloved?
Oh Lord, I am so cold!
It’s as though all I feel is not enough,
All I want for others can never be acknowledged.
I have never meant harm to anyone
So why do I feel I cause harm?
Do not leave me my Creator.
Do not make me feel your love has an end.
As the world has changed for me,
I need a steadfast belief.
I promise no matter what happens,
I will never forget the simplicity of your love.
The world forgot that a long time ago
May I never forget.
