1. Use hair grease. Petrolatum, which is a major component of hair grease, has been rumoured to be bad for hair, but that’s not entirely true. It has a great serum that, if used correctly, has loads of benefits. To effectively use hair grease, start by deep conditioning your hair, moisturizing and then use a leave-in before applying hair grease.
2. Shampoo and exfoliate your scalp. If you have a dry scalp that happens to be tender, you should take shampooing and exfoliating your scalp seriously. Now, you might know how to shampoo, but not so much about exfoliating. To exfoliate your scalp, you can either use a manual scalp brush to lightly brush your scalp or use an automatic scalp brush. You can also use a salt and oil mixture. The salt removes dirt and debris from your hair follicles while the oil lubricates the sebum, making it easy to wash off.
3. Finally, eat a protein-rich diet. Hair needs protein to grow. A great way to know if you are eating enough protein, check your hair and nails. Nails get brittle and easily damaged when you are low on protein and you will notice hair loss and a natural fading of the hair.
