It is arguable that travelling is not about the journey but the destination. When it is a long haul flight, you know that the journey matters as well. Such long journeys can be painful, tiresome and not to mention absolutely boring. Here are some tips and tricks on flying long haul:
1. Get a jacket
A scarf especially can act as a blanket or pillow during your long haul flight. Nowadays it’s becoming less common to have a blanket included on your flight, and sometimes the cabin doesn’t even have enough for everyone. The best advice is to bring something functional just in case because flights can get quite chilly.
2. Bring an eye mask for sleeping
If you’re flying through the day, an eye mask will be handy unless it if it is a red eye flight, it’s less necessary, but honestly every little bit helps.
3. Include headphones and charger
Headphones are for jamming or listening to podcasts while a portable charger would keep your mobile devices charged. Sometimes, flights have USB ports but you can’t always count on them to be functioning. So pack headphones, a portable charger, and your cord just in case.
4. Download podcasts
Podcasts can be a good pastime for flying. Download a few interesting ones before your flight and enjoy them while on board.
