Fashion should be fun. One must not necessarily to be tied to routines or particularly styles. Besides variety is the spice of life. Just like a meal, when you keep taking the same order every time, you get tired. The same applies to fashion.
Your wardrobe should excite you because it gives your inspiration to explore. It is normal for every wardrobe to have classics, these never go out of fashion because they are fashion staples. How about switching things up and substituting them for other wears from time to time. Here are some ideas to help out:
1.Chinos replaced by cargo trousers
Cargo trousers add a touch of utilitarian, continental style to any wardrobe. With cargo trousers, less is more. Stick to fabrics that have military roots — cargo joggers. Match with a simple, semi-smart shirt up top, perhaps with a light jacket in understated charcoal or navy. A solid footwear, like a brogue or a Derby, will work well here.
2. Oxford shirt replaced with Grandad collar shirt
The Oxford shirt was one of four prototypes invented by Scottish basket weavers in the 19th century. One of the shirt’s defining feature, is its button-down collar. With its roots in the detachable-collared shirt of the early twentieth century, the grandad collar shirt is more historical than contemporary. But the garment is modernised, giving the vintage touch and can confidently transcends several dress codes at once.
3. The blazer replaced with the field jacket
The blazer has become a sign of either celebration or formality wherever it is worn, whether that at a wedding or a business pitch. The field jacket is a good substitute. It is as versatile as its military history suggests. It is to a new generation what an unstructured blazer was to an older one.
4. Raw denim with faded denim
Raw denim is denim that is taken straight off the loom and dyed only. It has not been subjected to the chemical and mechanical processes. Light wash jeans can pass for raw denim’s deep blue because it feels fresh and modern at the same time. They can be subbed in for chinos. While raw denim blends well with a blazer, light wash jeans gives a more casual look. Pair them with white or logo tees, or with bold and bright knits. For footwear, chunkier brogues or Derbies or plain sneakers are recommended.
