Nigeria is home of tourism. The most populous country in Africa, there are many things to do and see that includes visiting some of the top attractions in the cities to exploring the traditional towns and villages and so much more. Still basking in the mood of festivities and as the weekend calls, here are some fun activities I bet you never knew you could do in Nigeria:
1. Hiking
This is more than a fun activity. If you want to remain fit, you should participate in hiking as it offers numerous health benefits and fitness solutions. Nigeria is blessed with beautiful landscapes that you would want to explore through hiking as you plan your weekend.
2. Go karting
This is the most exciting sports that the whole team can fit in. Though rough, rugged yet completely safe, you can even rent a go-kart course for a family tournament to memorable time. It brings about a little healthy family or friend competition.
3. Kayaking
This may appear as a mission impossible in a bubbling environment e.g. Lagos. However, there are nice places to go kayaking. Kayaking doesn’t require a lot of technical know-how to get started. Simply learn the basic skills of kayaking and you are good to go,
4. Horse riding
Though not new, there are few saddle clubs around NIGERIA, like the Ikeja saddle club which offers you the opportunity to relax and have a good time with family and friends. Horse riding isn’t only fun but also boosts the muscle and flexibility.
5. Scuba diving
The average Nigerian may not be interested in this activity but it is certainly worth doing. It gives the opportunity to go on an adventure under water.
6. Fishing
Locate a water settlement good for fishing with people. It would be worth the experience. Nigeria has many rivers, creeks and lagoons that houses fishes. Explore and make your fishing experience worthwhile.
