There have been disturbing reports that the 234 school girls abducted in Chibok, Borno state have been sold into marriage by extremists.
Elders and relatives of the girls have spoken tovarious news organisations saying that they had heard reports of a mass marriage taking place near the remains of the school.
Frustration and desperation is growing among the families of the missing girls, a protest was held at Eagle Square, Abuja yesterday by upset mothers demanding governmental intervention and their immediate rescue.
The April 14th abduction of the girls and the government’s response has sparked outrage worldwide, a petition at Change.org has attracted 30,000 signatures and the Enough Is Enough coalition will be hosting demonstrations across Nigeria.
