My Dear Daughter,
I believe you’ve heard the saying so many times, “Don’t bite off more than you can chew”. This is an important adage to add to the mantra you live by to serve as a reminder to take things easy; not to engage in tasks or relationships that you know you can’t handle.
Superman and Super Woman are characters of fiction and we should avoid the temptation of thinking that we can be a Superman or Superwoman. We should always evaluate situations and events we are faced with to have better clarity on how to deal with them to avoid being overwhelmed.
My dear, in life, it pays to be aware, strategic, disciplined and knowledgeable, setting priorities that will enable you to take one step at a time. The Mammy Wagon Philosopher says: “No hurry in life”.
So take it easy, you can take an elevator or a lift, however, sometimes it is best to take the stairs. This way, you are propelling, at your own pace to your destination.
Set timelines to enable you to work at your own set out pace.
Love you always,
Dad
