My darling daughter,
Often times in life you may find yourself staring at dead ends, unsure which way to turn or to go. In such moments, the pertinent question to ask yourselves is: “Where do I go from here?”
In order to help you discern the right direction, consider what Seneca said: “Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.”
Having considered this, do what Martin Luther King Jr. advised:
“Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.”
This, as crazy as it seems, means you have to let go of your inner inhibitions and embrace productive mindlessness. If you’re in need of further encouragement to take a leap of faith, bear in mind what Carl Bard said: “Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.”
My dear, in the words of Louis L’Amour, “There will come a time when you believe everything is finished; that will be the beginning.” Why? Because “New beginnings are often disguised as painful endings.” – Lao Tzu
A challenge to aim for is to “Be willing to be a beginner every single morning.” – Meister Eckhart
But this doesn’t come without making necessary changes. And, yes, “Change can be scary, but you know what’s scarier? Allowing fear to stop you from growing, evolving, and progressing.” – Mandy Hale
“Each day is a new beginning, the chance to do with it what should be done and not be seen as simply another day to put in time.” -Catherine Pulsifer
Finally darling, “It’s never too late to become who you want to be. I hope you live a life that you’re proud of, and if you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start over.” – F. Scott Fitzgerald
Love you always,
Dad
