My dear daughter,
Please my dear, try not to get into the mindset that you have all the time in the world. All of us without exception have a limited time on this earthly plane.
Since time is a limited commodity I will advice that one of your mottos in life should be “Make hay while the sun shines.” Do not put off for tomorrow what you can do today. Tomorrow never ends. Do not fall into the trap of being a procrastinator.
Try to not take on more than you can chew in every circumstance. If you are asked to help with an assignment, weigh your ability to assist in line with what you already have on your plate. Don’t be too quick to say “No problem. I can help you with that.” Do not be deluded that you are more efficient, or indispensable than others.
Do not fall into the trap of being on every committee or the leader of every organization in your community. This level of involvement can lead to burn out. Learn to pace yourself correctly so that you can live in the moment and enjoy your journey through life.
Multi-tasking is not our friend. It makes us to replace quality for quantity. Learn to put first things first as you manage the things you have to do in your life. Prioritize effectively by executing jobs that are both important and urgent first. Make sure to find time for personal upliftment and spiritual growth, thus living a balanced life.
Love you always.
Dad
