Emerging Port Harcourt born integrated farmer and industrialist, Al Humphrey Onyanabo who is also a seasoned journalist is dreaming big about integrated farming and food processing, He told reporters at a recent press conference.
“integrated farming and food processing has been my passion for the past 8 years and i have expended enormous resources seeking knowledge both on the African continent and beyond seeking knowledge that will keep me abreast with trends , best practices and that will keep me abreast with the rest of the world’’.
He describes Rev Father Nzumujo, a catholic priest and founder of the Shoghai Centre, a huge integrated farm resource and knowledge centre situated in Port Novo, Republic of Benin as his idol and mentor.
Hear him, ‘’we have the capacity to feed Africa and indeed the world with vegetables, fruits, livestock and crops instead of being a dumping ground. The opportunities are enormous and limitless, an untapped goldmine that benefits investors, workers and the nation’’.
Mr Al Humphrey says his company is presently building strategic alliances and partnerships towards build a state of the art factory that will process , sell locally and export its own branded long grain rice, vegetables and fruits, livestock, custard, garri, instant poundo yam, tomato puree, sweet corn etc. They will also be setting up farms in three states namely Ogun, Rivers and Nassarawa states.
He adds, ‘’we are consolidating home grown talents with adaptive foreign technology to create a huge local farming and food processing company that will produce world class certifiable products that will fly the Nigerian emblem.
