MUSIC
GLORY
John Legend, Common.
The Oscar night was filled with emotions, but none could beat the tears “Glory” brought to the audience when John Legend and rapper, Common re-enacted the scenes of SELMA via their perfect rendering of the track at the awards. It was so emotional that many in the audience could not hold back tears, from Oprah to David Oyelowo and more. Though the song was the only thing that won an award at the Academy awards for the movie, SELMA, but not one person will forget the emotion the movie brought to the audience. Congrats to BIRDMAN for grabbing the most awards of the night. And please if you have not watched SELMA or cropped “GLORY”, you are sitting on a LONG thing.

JE KAN MO
Skales
A few hours before this video was dropped, the internet was agog with shots fired between Skales and his former label mate, Wizkid. The attacks were so embarrassing that… Well, that will be a story for another day. The good news is, things have simmered down and Skales has dropped another video to a remarkable tune. For those who thought “Shake Body” is a one-time hit thing for Skales, the Edo state boy is back with another. I personally have been a fan since he dropped “Be Mine”, though.
Don’t miss this video. It will make your day.
On a Scale of 0 – 10, this song is a 5.

THE HUMBLING
St. Al Pacino
I still love me some Al Pacino, that’s why the best thing my dad ever did for me as a kid was get me an Al Pacino (Scar face) inspired jacket for my birthday. But if you think that old man is done with movies and should go take a rest, please think again. HUMBLING is based on a 2009 novel written by Philip Roth. It is the story of a stage actor who is slowly losing his mind who finds himself in a relationship with a sexually confused younger woman – the daughter of his friend. How this turned out? Watch this movie and learn what is real and not.

THE GREEN EYED
St. Nse Ikpe Etim, Kalu Ikeagwu, et al.
The Green Eyed is a movie that every hard working Nigerian needs to watch to avoid falling a victim of our careers and or families. It is a movie of betrayal, politics, deceit, blackmail, love, jealousy and the test of friendship. Shot in the city of Port Harcourt, this is a movie no one should miss. Even if you think you already living the right kind of life.
For a movie that was shot in two weeks, the movie is not bad at all. This is one of the challenges movie makers in Nigeria battle with. Budget limits production.
On a Scale of 0 – 10, this movie is a 5.0.
