It’s super commemoration for Super Eagles No. 1 goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama and wife, Promise and a big congratulation to them as well.
The couple, days back clocked 15 years in marriage and still strongly loving each other.
Blessed with three children (a boy and two girls) Enyeama shared their staying power even after 15 years. “We never focused on our mistakes or what we lacked, instead, we nurtured each other to who we are and building the bridge to where we want to be tomorrow”.
The Akwa Ibom born super goal stopper who has had a beautiful career as a footballer which span almost 20 years can also boast of a successful home front.
Born in Kaduna Enyeama started his career in Ibom Stars in 1999. Just after one season he moved to Enyimba International where he played for 3 years between 2001 and 2004. Despite young age he quickly became goalkeeper number 1 and played in Nigeria’s top flight as well as in CAF Champions League, where he had some remarkable games. Interestingly back then he was considered to be a poor penalty stopper and was many times substituted before the penalty shootout. Many years after Enyeama explained that he still doesn’t know why it was liked that.
Nevertheless he liked to convert penalties and scored 10 goals for People’s Elephant. In 2005 he moved to Heartland, which by that time were known as Iwuanyanwu Nationale, but didn’t spend there much time, because at this time came an offer from Israel and Enyeama decided to move abroad. He signed a deal with mediocre Israeli side Bnei Yehuda where he stayed for 2 seasons and was part of the club’s biggest successes. Also at that time reputation of poor penalty stopper changed drastically, because in Israel he was known as a specialist from saving shots from the spot.
