If your skin is oily and gets grimy in no time no matter how hard you have tried, I have found you a cheaper and available home cure to try; The Tomatoes. Yes tomatoes are perfect remedy for an oily or acne prone skin, the acidic composition balances the skin pH and dries off excessive oil like lemons also do: and they both clears the skin. They are skin toners and whitening agents.
Tomatoes can also moisturize your skin naturally. They make your skin glow and appear fairer than ever before. Consume one raw tomato on daily basis or make a mask out of some freshly crushed tomatoes and watch your skin transform.
Here are ways to:
- Slice a fresh tomato and put sugar on its surface, scrub your face, neck and other exposed body parts with it. Wait for about 15 minutes before wash off. You can do this twice or three times a week. Note the changes in your skin and if whitening is too much, you may have to reduce the frequency of weekly scrub.
- Take a small tomato and grate it to get its pulp. Apply the pulp on your skin. Leave it for sometime to dry and then apply one more coat of tomato pulp. Repeat this cycle for about 15-20 minutes. Finally wash off with water.
- Lemon and tomatoes combination works too. Add few drops of lemon juice to a tablespoon of freshly extracted tomato juice. Apply this to your face and neck. Leave for about 15 minutes before washing off.
- Avocado works fine with tomatoes for radiant skin. If you have a mixed skin or a combination skin use tomatoes with avocado. Mash one small tomato with one small avocado’s pulp. Apply this on your face. Leave for about half an hour. Wash off with warm water.
- Tomatoes and cucumber mask is very effective in getting rid of sun burns. Mix fresh juice of tomato and cucumber in equal quantities and apply this mixture on the affected area.
