Fashion is a very silent but powerful communicator. It has the power to make or mar a person. It can speak many words, it can say, “I am important”, “I can make the air shiver” “I can make everyone stop in awe”, “I am a nerd”, “I don’t care”, “I am depressed”, “I don’t have time”, .”I’m clueless”, I’m overwhelmed” or “I’m creative”
It is an inherent nature in man to assess and judge a man by his clothing, even though it could be wrong assessment, but it is important to let your style speak for you. Let it say, “I am Powerful”
Fashion from time to time is leveraged to communicate an ideology or trait, what separates man from animals is his will and ability to think, to be knowledgeable and have a certain understanding, what separates a man from the next man, is not only his behaviour, culture, attitude or background but also his or her fashion style. It is like a unique signature peculiar to each person.
Fashion changes, it tells a story, it evolves and captivates. The fashion styles of a person can tell us something about his personality, the culture and to an extent the social views of a person.
The way you present and package yourself is how you will be received. Perception might be a small thing but it is everything. It goes beyond adorning designer clothes and lacking carriage. You can adorn with the simplest jewellery and come out stunning like a million dollar baby. A dress or fashion trend communicates the intricate details of our personality and character. Some will say that the desire to be fashionable and trendy is universal, while others will is say this desire is limited to the upper strata of the society….I say, “It is a state of mind”.
Whether you love or hate to admit it, your personal style and fashion is very important to who you are and also who you will become as a person. Fashion comes with energy to promote; to transform your personality I mean isn’t it amazing how clothes can make a person?
The right Fashion takes you places; it improves you and makes you feel confident. I believe with fashion, you could go to places you have never been before without leaving where you are simply by experimenting with diverse fashions from different parts of the world.
Fashion although has its negatives, that’s discussion for another day, but a strong positive advantage is that it boosts our confidence or makes us feel powerful or safe. Whether or not you adorn name brands or generic brand, the most important thing to note is that you are comfortable and happy (physical and psychological) in this outfits.
Don’t turn your love of Fashion into worship but acknowledge it, remember the phrase “you are what you wear” and “Clothes make the man” Our clothes tell us who we are in a society and tell others about our personalities, our wants, needs, talents, dispositions and destination.
Enjoy the summer y’all, Have fun and rock the world like Style Stars.
