Billionaire Ifeanyi Ubah is putting his billions on football without looking back. The Nnewi born front man of Capital oil and Gas industries is not letting any stone unturned with his FC Ifeanyi Ubah football club. As part of the numerous steps aimed at developing grassroots football in Nigeria, the President of FC Ifeanyi Ubah and Patron of Nationwide League One, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah led the management of Nationwide League One (NLO) and FC Ifeanyi Ubah (FCIU) to London for exploratory discussions with West Ham United Football Club.
This has come as a boost and welcome development to the Nationwide League One as they seek opportunities to promote and boost Nigeria’s grassroots football through international partnerships which has been duly provided by the recently nominated Patron of the Nationwide League One. The members of the delegation included Chukwuma Ubah (Chairman of FC Ifeanyi Ubah), Ahmad Muhammad Mu’azu (Chairman of Nationwide League One), Austin Jay Jay Okocha (Ambassador for grassroots football and NLO) amongst others.
Exploratory discussions started on Friday and massive strides were made as meetings continued on Saturday with a delegation of West Ham United FC led by the Chairman and Managing Director of the Club, Angus Kinnear including Peter Stephenson, Peter Jules amongst other stakeholders of the club.
