Google, the most popular search engine in the world, is in the habit of celebrating respected personalities, icons, events, and achievements through the special, but a temporal, alteration of its logo in form of a Google doodle.
Today, being her 62nd posthumous birthday, Google remembers and honours Dr Ayemo Stella Adadevoh by changing its logo to an animated image of her.

The late doctor, who passed on in the 19th of August 2014 from the Ebola virus, is remembered for her bravery and sacrifice in curbing the wider spread of the virus in Nigeria by placing the patient in quarantine at the First Consultant Medical Center, despite pressures from the Liberian government. For her selfless act, she has received several posthumous awards including the Pride Jewel of Inestimable Value Award and the film “93 Days” which tells the story of the treatment of Patrick Sawyer is dedicated to her and the other medical staffs at the hospital.
