The Friend Zone, also known as the “buddy zone” or “non-romantic zone,” is a relationship status between 2 people that is exclusively non-romantic. Usually, one party is friend-zoned and that person usually wants to “get out” of the friend zone by becoming the lover.
Here is how to know you have been friend zone:
1. They don’t like spending time with you alone, they suggest bringing friends.
2. They try to hook you up with somebody else.
3. You are like a brother or sister to them.
4. They always bring up their crush around you.
5. They take you for granted.
6. You cancel plans for them but they don’t do the same.
7. They deflect their romantic feelings, in other words, there is no spark.
If you noticed the above and don’t want to remain friendzoned, here is how to move from friend zone to lover zone:
-Be the catch
Treat yourself as a great catch. This process may take days or even months. Build your confidence. Make yourself the priority. Invest in who you are. Upgrade your wardrobe, look good. Divert your energy and time to making friends with other people.
-Focus on dopamine
When we interact with people, we’re interacting with a couple of different chemicals. And one I want to focus on is dopamine. Dopamine is the chemical that gives us pleasure and makes people memorable. It also creates excitement, engagement, and motivation. Think of your person. Do something fun, exciting and new.
-Increase Adrenaline
It is difficult to tell the difference between adrenaline and attraction. So doing risky things with someone can help make you both more engaged. Take on new adventures, road trips , sky diving, watching horror movies etc with your crush.
