The skin is the largest organ of the body. It is prone to cracking and dryness. One area affected is the feet. With the dry weather, the feet tend to be cracked and rough in appearance. The last thing you want to see is your feet looking cracked in your footwear. It defeats the whole essence of your dressing and appearance. Here are natural remedies to help combat this skin issue:
1. Apple cider vinegar with lemon
Take a fresh lemon and grate the outer skin with a grater. Boil three litres of water in a pan along with grated zest, and once it comes to a boil, switch off the gas. Wait for it to come to a lukewarm temperature. Now, add one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar into water and soak your feet in it for at least 15-20 minutes.
2. Tea tree and Olive oil
Take one-fourth cup olive oil and add six to seven drops of tea tree oil. Mix well. Give your foot a good massage with this blend, after soaking your feet in warm water. You’ll find cracks disappearing quickly.
3. Turmeric and Licorice powder
Take two tablespoons of turmeric and one tablespoon of licorice powder in a bowl. Mix both the ingredients well to form a paste. Massage your feet for a few minutes with this scrub and wash it off.
4. Sea salt and oatmeal
Mix 100 grams of sea salt, one cup of oatmeal, and one tablespoon honey in a bowl. Use the mixture to massage daily on your feet. Not only does it help to eliminate dirt and grime, but also softens dead skin and makes your skin smooth and crack-free.
5. Aloe vera and glycerin
Take two tablespoons of pure aloe vera gel. Mix it with one tablespoon of glycerin. Massage your feet after washing your feet with warm water. Using it regularly on your skin will keep it hydrated and fresh.
