Do you recall a viral video of Jim Iyke beating up fellow actor Uche Maduagwu in August 2021 for questioning his wealth? Reports reveal that it was all scripted. The Nollywood actor revealed this in a snippet of his interview with Chude Jideonwo noting that the fight with Uche Maduagwu was orchestrated and they had reached an agreement.
When asked about the fight, Jim Iyke said “orchestrated. Do I look like the kind of person, just before the introduction of one of the most important works in my entire career go and jeopardise it by myself? No, I’m too strategic.”
He noted that he wanted to prove that he could orchestrate anything and everyone will perceive it.
“I understand the people’s mindset, their propensity for gossip and bad news, there’s no how it won’t catch fire.”
Taking to Instagram Uche Maduagwu confirmed Iyke’s claims, describing himself as the biggest brand influencer in Nigeria.
“He paid me N3.6 million to promote Bad Comments movie and added N1.2 million after it went viral. I’m not just the most talked-about movie star in Africa. I’m the biggest brand influencer,” Maduagwu wrote.
The actor added, “Jim Iyke is like a big brother to me. He saw potentials in me. Today, Bad Comments movie became the biggest cinema film in 2021 because he saw my brand influencing power and worked with me. Mr. Moses is a great director too. I influence brands to success because I am the most talked-about movie star for Africa.”
The fight came just before the release of Jim Iyke’s comeback film Bad Comments.
