Our Man Crush Monday is African real estate extraordinaire Paul Onwuanibe, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Landmark Africa Group. Driven by his passion, Paul has for over 25 years, pushed for the advancement of real estate in Africa with a vision to create world-class, mixed-use developments while providing job opportunities for youths on the continent.
Paul’s professional experience has seen him designing and executing projects in Africa, North America and Europe. He was a Development Director with Beacon Housing in the UK, and was deeply entrenched at Regus Plc during its rapid global expansion where he oversaw the opening of 190 business centres as an Executive. In founding The Landmark Africa Group, he envisioned the first Pan-African real estate and service organisation themed on his live, work and play philosophy. Landmark has experienced extraordinary growth since inception – among its key achievements are the expansion across Africa and into North America and Europe; the raising in excess of US$100m of funding; and a PwC endorsed book valuation in excess of US$300m. The company’s worth has not gone unnoticed, and it has been endorsed by the BBC, Euromoney and African Property Investment Summit as the go-to destination in West Africa for all things business and leisure.

His wide-ranging professional experience is a reflection of his education which covered various aspects of the built environment, including architecture, property development and construction management. He has degrees from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka; London South Bank University; Imperial College London; and London Business School.
Paul shares his wealth of experience beyond Landmark, sitting on the board of organisations such as MTN’s fintech subsidiary Y’ello Digital Financial Services, Lakeshore Medical Centre, Brookstone Property, Kimberly Ryan, Carbon Microfinance Bank, and Stanmore Real Estate. He is also active in charitable enterprises revolving around health and education. The latter is especially dear to him as he has a firm resolve to add value to the world through an involvement in youth empowerment. Paul mentors a young leadership group with members spread across three continents, and he will be speaking at the upcoming Man2Man Convention later this year to inspire young men to take ownership of their lives and push towards greatness.
It is however not all work for Paul. He values his family and takes great pride in the life he has built in almost three decades of marriage with two children. What more can we ask from a man crush, and that’s why today, Pride Magazine Nigeria celebrates the great man that is Paul Onwuanibe.
