With so many things competing for ones time, if this is improperly managed, you may end up getting nothing done. The mind is a battlefield constantly battling with processing the right information. There are so many distractions hindering productivity. To be fully in charge and function optimally, here are 4 tips to help declutter your mind at work:
*Take breaks
Try to take as many breaks as you can during the day. You can take a walk, get some fresh air, grab a coffee, gist with a friend or even change your seating position. You don’t want to end up being too rigid and unmotivated, so take breaks to refresh yourself.
*Focus on the positives
Let go negative thoughts. Focus on what really matters. You can’t control how things come to your mind, but you can control what you want to focus on. You would feel lighter when you declutter your mind from ‘gabbage’.
*Put things in boxes
Have a mind compartment, different sections for different thoughts. Don’t jumble everything up. This way your decisions and actions remain unaffected.
* Do breathing exercises
Every now and then, inhale and exhale. Practise mindfulness and breathing exercises to keep body, mind and soul together.
