MOVIE
MAZE RUNNER
St. Dyla O’Brien, Will Poulter I, et al.
Opening at number one in the US last weekend with an encouraging 32.5 Million USD, and also claiming the number one spot in 49 other nations, the movie has also helped itself to the top 10 young adult adaptations (behind Hunger Games’ 152.5 Million USD, Twilight’s 69.6 million USD and Divergent’s 54.6 milllion USD , The Fault in Our Stars, 48 million USD) though it beat them all as the number debutant in South Korea and Russia. The movie? There is a Maze, no one’s ever survived a day in it… when he showed up, “everything started changing”. And yes, it’s time to unlock the mystery! Watch this movie and watch it again, because you will unlock new mysteries every time.
The EQUALIZER
St. Denzel Washington, et al.
For the first time on music movies and more, we are having two international movies summarized and believe me, if you were in my shoes, you’ll know this is a surprise that is worth it. Denzel Washington appears to have done it all for every black in the movie industry… villain, hero? Name it. And yes, this great movie was directed by a black man, Antoine Fuqua, same one who directed Training Day.
But!!! There is something he has not done. What? Until I watched, “The Equalizer” I never thought this was possible. Save yourself the trouble of being in the limbo, Go to the cinema and watch it! Don’t look at the numbers before watching this movie, go watch it and see why movies most atime is not a game of numbers. Hint? In the words of the director, “He’s like a dynamite, at some point, you know he’s gonna blow up!” Like Denzel, take what others have and use it against (for) them.
MUSIC
BOOTY
Jlo ft. IGGY Azalea
Since seeing the video I’ve come to the conclusion that this movie was shot just to make a joke out of Nicki Minaj’s artificial booty! In weeks, Nicki Minaj’s made it known to all that cared to listen that IGGY Azalea’s not an original rapper, but only raps to lines written by others, so in what appears like Mommy JLo telling Nicki that not all about her’s original, this weird semi-nude music video was released for viewers. Take JLo’s word at the beginning of the music video serious, “WARNING”. If you are a parent/guardian, under no circumstances should you allow your kid see it.
ARISE
Mavins ft. Donjazzy Di’Ja, Reekado Bankz and Korede Bello
I knew there was something national about Don Jazzy’s latest recruitment strategy and this song’s brought to life my assumptions at Donjazzy signing new acts from all the geographical locations of Nigeria. Whether you believe in Nigeria or not, you’ll definitely agree that this fusion of all the geographical locations in the persons of Di’Ja, Donjazzy, Reekado and Korede Bello brought out the best in the Mavins. Though this might not beat “Dorobucci’, you’ll agree this song will have the most amazing impact on us as a nation better than any Mavins track yet. “I believe in you my brothers and sisters…I believe in Nigeria!”
