The trade fair will also provide a platform for Business-to-Business (B2B) exchanges, with access to US$25 billion in trade finance for deals concluded at the trade fair.
Ms Dominic is a multiple award-winning actress, producer and philanthropist. Her first starring role was in the Nollywood hit movie A Time To Kill. Since then she has starred in over 100 films. She is best known for her roles in the groundbreaking films “76”, The Meeting and Shattered for which she won several prestigious awards. The entertainment industry is one of the key sectors targeted by the IATF 2018.“We recognise the role Miss Dominic plays in the film and entertainment industry and believe she has a huge role in the production of authentic and high-quality African content”, says Professor. Benedict Oramah, President of Afreximbank.
“The IATF is a platform that will allow the film and entertainment industry to discuss pertinent issues and secure funding to expand and produce world-class content that tells African stories and showcase our cultural diversity across the continent and abroad.” he continued.
The IATF is a biannual event aimed at boosting regional trade on the continent. We encourage importers and exporters within the continent and foreign investors engaged in trade and other business transactions with African entities and corporations to attend the first-ever intra-African trade fair which will provide an unprecedented opportunity to enhance their presence in the continent at a time when the transition towards the African Continental Free Trade Area offers tremendous opportunities for trade and economic expansion in Africa.
