I still hear the piercing words that cut through every bit of my life and how most of it hinders me from being myself, I know you do too. I know words have been said to mock every success you have later on achieved, such piercing words bruise the soul and leave scars on our spirit.
Has there been anytime in your life when people say hurtful things that lodged in your spirit? You’re not alone; I’m with you on this. Those words eat me up every day, I hear it in my voice every time I try to rest my head and sleep. I got to realize the world would be a better place if people understood that abuse is not always physical or sexual. One of the abuses to heal from is verbal abuse. Why? It is because it receives little empathy but is deadly and dangerous.
Verbal abuse is a game of wit in the sense that those who assault with words do it because it is a crime that can never prosecute a person. They see it as a chance to display their wicked crafts and laugh at the effect. If you doubt, just think about it for a minute.
The power of the spoken word can build or demolish a man. Words can make someone impotent- sexually, physically, spiritually and economically. Some people do not realize that their tongues are quick enough to destroy the opponent; words are deadly and far more lethal than a gun.
I’m not going to deliberate on the negative, I’m going to focus on the positive and if you really are tired of hearing those words, stay with me let me finish.
Look at your life, how is it? Check out the things you’ve been doing, have you been doing them to prove some people wrong or you’re doing them for you? Look at the thoughts that crosses your mind, are they the products of what’s been said to you?
Well, we’ve all been there, we’ve all have allowed people plant weeds in us but I challenge you now to take the time out to get rid of those weeds. You shouldn’t allow the seeds of negativity inherit where positive words are meant to stay.
Words of hate and anger yield the fruit of bitterness and distrust. The words of fear and doubt will bring forth low self esteem and intimidation but now is the time to take out those seeds before they germinate and take root. When you replace negative words with positive ones, you will be able to move on to greater things in your life and you become the garden that nurtures the world and feeds your own soul.
If you’ve been a victim, find a way to call a halt the word of hate and if you’ve been the perpetrator it is best you find a way to relieve anger. Do not be responsible for someone’s biased outlook on life. Always be positive, speak positive and if you can’t hold it together, just go down on your knees and ask God.
Thanks for making it this far. You’re a darling.
