Launched in 2017, the hangout with Tee is a laid back and fun event that allows ladies to relax, have fun and pamper themselves in the midst of great company and sound advice.
”As a woman, the biggest issue for her was finding or attending a women’s event where she could learn and have so much fun,” she said. “I wanted to create a network that was about women learning and having so much fun.”
Many women are bored with their lives and want to achieve more but they would rather take care of everyone else than themselves and also not pursue their dreams of becoming a writer, a life coach or even a model, Titi Oyemade said.
Empowering Women
The hangout began as a small gathering at Titi Oyemade’s home with the theme of “Reboot.” According to Titi, she wanted it to be an intimate gathering of only her close friends to learn and play but this little gathering expanded and over 500 women attended the last hangout.
The speaker lineup has included Adenike Oyetunde, Mercy Aspire, Dr. Ebele Ugochukwu, Tochi Okafor, Maureen Iyasele, Abimbola Adebakin and many more.
Challenges
As Hangoutwithtee expanded, one obstacle to reaching tons of women was funds. With few companies willing to invest in an unknown women hangout, Hangoutwithtee was self-funded, which was a bit tough, Titi admitted.
While attracting speakers and creating content were straightforward tasks, catering for over 500 women was hard, she added.
To assist, Titi Oyemade reached out to a few friends and companies like Sofy Sanitary Pad, So Klin, Food Concepts Pioneer and many more who supported the hangout with brand products which was given to the women for free at the event.
“I love partnering with other organizations to help bring colour to the hangout.”
6th Edition
Titi said the afternoon will bring together women to creatively engage around this theme: Oya Shift. We will have the most incredible women sharing their stories in life, career and business.
This hangout is set to challenge women to have a mindset shift and prepare them towards leadership roles they’ve never envisioned before!
Plus, this edition, we have exciting and fun things for all who attend.
It is going to be music non-stop, live dancers, free drinks, free gifts, dance competition and inspirational talks on Sunday, April 7, 2019.
Speakers include Zimbabwean Actress & OAP Vimbai Mutinhiri, Publisher, Exquisite Magazine Tewa Onasanya and Deputy President, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Toki Mabogunje.
Entertainers include Female Saxophonist, Funmi Sax Ajayi, Female Guitarist, Sha-de, The Bio Poet, Lady Yudy, “Nekky: The Body Confidence Chick” and more.
There will be free large boxes of pizza given to some lucky ladies by Pizza Hut Nigeria, Free Spa treatment from House of Tay and Grey and Glo Spa. Dinner and breakfast with a one-night stay at Indigo Restaurant and Suites, Victoria Island for one lucky lady and so many free gifts.
This edition will be hosted by On-Air Personality, Jessica Fortunes.

Titi Oyemade said she feels very happy and fulfilled when the attendees tell her that HangoutwithTee made a difference in their lives.
“But I also feel like there are still so many women to reach out to,” she acknowledged. And that is why Hangoutwithtee is launching the maiden edition of its magazine at the 6th edition. This magazine is for every woman who is seeking new information and it will be distributed to thousands of women for FREE.
