Yesterday, being Saturday, wedding bells rang throughout the country because we Nigerians don’t joke with nuptials – it’s always a grand affair and more so if the individuals involved are popular personalities; it becomes an upmarket event and a media circus.
Yesterday the well-known and sometimes controversial media personality, Gbemi Olateru, and talent manager, Femi Ajayi, tied the knot in Lagos in the presence of friends, family and industry heavyweights.
The wedding came as a pleasant surprise to many as their relationship has purposely been sheltered from social media’s prying eyes which many have applauded thanks to the wave of divorce stories plaguing popular marriages.
