Tomorrow she was going to be making a critical decision. There was no going back. But was she prepared for that? Before she met Enoch, it was Pedro. He was her man and she was his woman. They were the couple to envy. He would always be her first love. You know the saying that old flames never die.
The reason they went separate ways till today was unclear to her. The last she remembered was that he got bored at some point and wanted more drama. According to him, she was too obedient and submissive. He preferred she gave him some ‘wahala’. As ridiculous as that sounded, she was unsure of what he wanted. When he started showing signs of unfaithfulness, she had to withdraw. Then the distance gap further made it impossible to settle their differences.
Then came along Enoch, everything she had dreamt in a man. He was kind, caring and loving, not like Pedro. Now the tables had turned. She was now the one finding fault with Enoch. Two ‘good’ people in a relationship were ‘boring’. Sometimes there is a need for some drama. That was by the way. She just loved the fact that Pedro was a ‘bad’ guy. Why do good girls like bad guys? Well, that is another discussion for another day.
To the crux of the matter, she was supposed to marry a man that she didn’t love that much. Her confusion grew when out of the blues, Pedro came back into the scene. He had relocated to her region after getting a new job offer. He traced her and tried to rekindle their love. She told him it was too late but he has persuading her to give it a second thought. It turned into manipulation. He seemed to have gotten a grip on her especially after they made out immediately.
There was Enoch, willing to go on a journey with her in life. She was unsure if she would find that journey enjoyable. Deep down in her heart, she wanted Pedro. Everything was happening so fast. Yet she had to think and act fast. She was in a dilemma.
