Eid Mubarak to our Muslim faithful. In this time of celebration, while there is food and drinks, the message of the season is peace and unity.
As this Ileya comes with a big feast, there is usually Sallah meat to go around. On Throwback Thursday, we would be looking at actual places to hide your Sallah meat:
- On the roof
As ridiculous as it sounds, some people have done it and gotten away with it. The plot twist here is you have to steal raw meat. Spray salt on the raw meat to preserve it and put it on the roof. Of course, you have to remove it from the roof when it starts raining.
- In the freezer
This may be the only logical place to hide your Sallah meat but is it safe? No, so you have to be creative in the way you hide the Sallah meat. Putting it in moi moi leaves may be a good option. You may also want to consider other options.
- In your shoe rack
Come to think of it, who would ever imagine Sallah meats stacked in a shoe rack. Just make sure you put the Sallah meat in a foil in nylon to lock in the aroma. No one would suspect you.
- In storage bowl for foodstuff
The garri storage bowl is not an option because some people might want to enjoy garri and fried meat. You can consider the yam flour or beans containers because no one is coming for them and your sallah meat will be completely safe.
- Inside your wardrobe
Put your Sallah meat in nylon and hide it in your wardrobe, especially the underwear section. No one would trespass on your underwear unless they are rodents.
