It has been raining cats and dogs lately in this part of the world. This is expected because it is the wet month of June and soon- July. So staying prepared to shove off the cold from the rain is the way to go.
What if you had your wedding scheduled during the rainy season? It would be unnecessary to postpone because of the heavy downpour when there is a way to go about it. The following tips would help you go about your wedding on a rainy day:
1. Your best bet is to have an indoor wedding
This way the rain would not spoil your wedding and every other agenda of the day. The rainy season is not the best time to have an outdoor wedding. Play it safe and keep the wedding ceremony indoors. Do your wedding indoors to save you and your wedding guests a lot of stress and worry.
2. Think proximity
If you intend to have a church or mosque or court wedding, ensure it is in close proximity to your reception venue. With the rain comes heavy traffic and flooding, this can impede movement. You want to avoid such obstacles and stress this builds.
3. Add umbrellas
Add umbrellas to your wedding. They are not only good props for a wedding shoot but they are also essential during a rainy wedding day. So, ensure you have umbrellas handy for your guests and also yourself. No one should be dripping wet on the wedding day. The bride should be all dry, her makeup and hair in tact too.
4. Makeup artist and hairstylist should be on stand-by
It is not impossible to get soaked or touched by water on a rainy day. So the bride needs to keep her makeup artist close by for touch up and her hairstylist too, That way she is rest -assured that she would still look her best without fear of the rain spoiling her appearance.
5. Have an alternative pair of shoes
This is preferably the jelly type that can withstand water. Provide for your bridesmaids as well you could all make a cute photo of it too.
6. Towels are a must-have
Towels are also necessary to wipe yourself off when moving from the church/mosque/court to the reception area and elsewhere.
7. Relax and stay positive
Get a grip, remember that you are about to spend the rest of your life, with someone you love. Don’t panic over the rainfall. Maintain a positive vibe, relax and have fun because it’s your big day.
