Preparing for your wedding can be stressful, you don’t want more stress on the D-day. You need to pay attention to your stress triggers. One of them is the people you intend to invite. While the whole idea is for them to come and celebrate with you, there are some people who come to weddings with hidden agendas or ulterior motives. These set of people do not require your wedding invitation, and they include:
- Your ex
You don’t want bad energy to flow. Your ex may have some secret agendas up their sleeves. Even if you guys are still friends, be not under any obligation to invite your ex to your wedding.
2. People you rarely contact
There is a saying that 10 friends from 10 years ago can’t remain, friends, today. This is because of changes, new experiences and growth. So if you rarely talk to some friends again, no need to invite them to your wedding.
3. Your neighbours
Some neighbours tend to be nosey or pay lip service, others are caring. However, they don’t really need to be at your wedding. Stick to sending each other rice during the holiday season.
4. People you dislike
It could be a co-worker or acquaintance that you don’t get along with. Save yourself the stress of bad vibes and other wrong emotions by not inviting people you dislike to your wedding.
5. Those crushing on you
You don’t want drama when you are taking your wedding vows. People who you think are in love with you should not get your wedding invitation. They can stand upright before you exchange vows and announce that they object to the marriage—don’t risk it.
6. Social media connections
Though your co-workers may make up this list, you don’t want your wedding to be flooded with people you only connected with online.
