Nobody saw it coming, but somehow Titi Oyemade did it again. The convener of the Hangoutwithtee Ladies Event pulled off the kind of magic that gets people talking long after the lights go out. She managed to get media royalty Marian Anazodo and Adesuwa Onyenokwe to leave their comfort zones, step into the Lagos buzz, and not just attend, but fully immerse themselves.

This year’s edition, themed ‘No Dull Yourself’, lit up the University of Lagos Multipurpose Hall on Saturday, November 8, 2025. From the moment the doors opened, women poured in, vibrant, intentional, determined not to dull for a single second. And they meant it. You could feel it in the way they greeted one another, in the laughter that echoed through the hall, in the brightness that filled the space before the programme even began.

The day started strong with wellness at the centre. Free breast cancer screenings, blood sugar checks, and blood pressure tests set the tone because glowing starts with taking care of yourself. The exhibition area was a colourful playground of female-led brands showcasing brilliance in every form, while partner organisations kept everyone buzzing with giveaways that flew into excited hands. And when the music hit, the dance floor came alive with moves that proved women do not need an invitation to have fun, they simply will.

Then came the wisdom. The speaker lineup carried the kind of energy that could wake even the dullest spirit. Mr. Gerald Wolf, Deputy Consul General of the German Consulate in Lagos, gave an encouragement word to the women in the room. Kayode Kuti, CEO of TertiaryDNS, reminded the women that the world is changing fast, and those who win are the ones who move boldly.

The momentum kept rising as other speakers stepped up: Dr. Adeoye Adeyoola, ready with insight; Yemisi Falaye, blending law and entertainment with refreshing clarity; Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, whose voice carried the urgency of protecting women; Dr. Olabisi Olanrewaju, offering wisdom from years in medicine; and Mariam Pedro-Tijani, who brought the soft-life gospel with conviction and charm. Their messages, though diverse, flowed together like a chorus singing one truth: stop shrinking, stop delaying, stop dimming, shine now, shine boldly, shine fully.

By the time the event wrapped, nobody was rushing to leave. The women lingered, glowing from the inside out, recharged, uplifted, and ready to step back into their worlds with louder confidence and clearer purpose. The message had landed deeply: At Hangoutwithtee, dulling is not just discouraged. It’s impossible.
