Born in January 1, 1970, Weird, whose real names are Shola Idowu, a native of Ogun State returned to Nigeria to unwrap her musical talent which eventually paid off. However, after sometimes, she disappeard from the scene with no traces of her anywhere.
Weird MC wears a masculine look which brought her sexuality into question. Although, she once revealed that she had a boyfriend, the London returnee is widely perceived as a lesbian. The top entertainer was born to conservative parents who did not encourage her to go into show business.
She had her secondary school education in Nigeria, where she made friends with four other girls, with whom she formed the hip-hop group Weirdos. Despite their popularity on the circuit, they failed to land a record deal, and soon disbanded, and Idowu gained admission into Ogun State University to study Law, but left after a year to focus on her music career, soon she gained a qualification in Music Technology; prior to that she had aspired to become a basketball player, but as the Nigerian Sports Commission did not fully support women in this field, Idowu moved back to England with the intention of migrating to America to pursue her dream.
She eventually made made it to the spotlight doing music. Once again, the big question on the lips of music lovers who admired her is, “where is Weird MC?”
