Why are men with six-packs the preferred choice to men with belly fats? The reason is not far-fetched. Belly fat, which is jokingly referred to as ‘beer belly’ makes a man look unfit and unattractive. More importantly, it has health complications.
Having a large amount of belly fat increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, colon cancer and sleep apnea. According to Men’s health, there are at least 39 different diseases associated with excess belly fat. So if your stomach is 40 inches or more, you have an unhealthy amount of belly fat.
Belly fat is primarily caused by consuming excess calories than the needed amount your body needs for energy. Though as one gets older, maintaining a healthy weight may be difficult because the body is losing a muscle and burning fewer calories. Genetics is also responsible for belly fat. some genes increase the chances of becoming overweight or fat. The fact that you are a male, makes you susceptible to belly fat. Women bodies can store fat in their arms, thighs or buttocks but men don’t have such places for fat storage. Rather it goes straight to their bellies.
To get rid of belly fat, the following tips would help:
