Our Woman Crush Wednesday, Chisimchere Chukwu leads Corporate Communications at Nigerdock, a prominent Nigerian maritime company. She oversees the organisation’s internal messaging, public image, and media engagement.
With over ten years of varied experience in customer service, writing, brand planning, content creation, advertising, and media relations, she brings a broad skill set to her work. Her background helps her develop communication approaches that inform, connect, and support the company’s objectives.
Before Nigerdock, Chisimchere was the Content Lead at Anakle, a marketing agency known for its distinctive campaigns. She directed several projects for major companies in the banking, consumer goods, health, and energy industries.
She also contributed to Anakle Films, the agency’s film branch. There, she was involved in shaping the story of Fishbone, a short film that earned praise for highlighting the issue of counterfeit drugs. She also worked on the early development of The Black Book, which later achieved international recognition.
Chisimchere holds a master’s degree in Media and Communication from Pan-Atlantic University in Lagos. She is a member of both the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and the International Association of Business Communicators, reflecting her commitment to high professional standards.
Outside her job, she volunteers with the Jagal Foundation, a charitable group that supports projects in education, skills training, healthcare, and local enterprise.
