Our Woman Crush Wednesday, Ezinne Nwazulu, is a woman whose work speaks volumes, not just in boardrooms, but across Africa’s entrepreneurial and energy landscapes. She is a business development leader whose career spans over a decade across the energy, finance, and digital innovation sectors in Africa and Europe. Currently serving as Director and Head of Upstream Services at Nepal Energies Ltd, Ezinne plays a vital role in driving Nigeria’s growth in upstream oil & gas production. She leads operations that include marine logistics, EPCIM services, and strategic partnerships with international and national oil companies.
Her leadership journey within Nepal Energies is rooted in action. As the former Group Head of Retail, she led the company’s rebranding efforts, introduced digital transformation across its retail chain and expanded services to include LPG and lubricants. She harnessed technology to streamline supply chains and enhance customer experience, always with an eye on long-term value.
But Ezinne’s impact extends far beyond the energy sector. Through her company, E-Germinate Hub Ltd, she founded 234Finance.com – a platform designed to support African entrepreneurs with tools for sustainable business growth. The initiative is built on five pillars: Content, Community, Collaboration, Capacity Building and Capital. It equips entrepreneurs with the knowledge and support needed to make informed decisions, scale their businesses and close funding gaps. So far, 234Finance has disbursed over $100,000 in grants, hosted SME bootcamps, masterclasses and exhibitions, and built a community of over 50,000 stakeholders across the continent.
Her earlier career includes leading the launch of Sterling Bank’s Private Banking Unit and managing high-value energy trades at Mercuria Energy Trading in Switzerland, with transaction volumes ranging from $5 million to $30 million.
Ezinne holds a Bachelor of Commerce in International Business from Dalhousie University and is currently pursuing a Global Executive MBA at IESE Business School. She serves as a mentor with the Mastercard Foundation and is a Board Advisor to the Family Enterprise Network Nigeria, contributing her insights to the development of family-owned businesses.
Whether she’s leading teams, growing new markets, or supporting entrepreneurs, Ezinne stays grounded by her values and driven by a deep sense of purpose. She brings clarity to complexity, takes action where it matters most and finds joy in building things that last. Pride Magazine Nigeria celebrates Ezinne Nwazulu, a woman who gets things done, builds bridges and leaves behind real impact.
