The world of womenswear fashion has gotten bolder and randier when it comes to cuts and silhouettes and Nigeria isn’t far behind this moving train. These bolder designs inevitably threaten to make modest fashion obsolete, and its morals, old-fashion. But, it’s a breath of fresh air to see Hafsah (@hafymo), our woman crush Wednesday and a young fashion and lifestyle blogger advocate modest fashion one stylish post at a time.
The Nigerian-Muslim blogger has become a go-to favourite for fashion enthusiasts and those who care to draw inspiration while taking down style notes.
Success is sometimes defined in the way we influence the world and others to think like us, or aspire to our inspiration. In this regard, the modest blogger seems to be succeeding; in a world of ‘less is more’ she created a clothing line, Elora collection, that negates the status quo. Her clothes are tailored to women who want to cover up but still look modern.
There are two major reasons she gives us modest fashion goals:
Her ease with layering
Have you ever tried to layer clothes on without looking like a sack? If you haven’t, you should take several cues from her because she does it effortlessly well.
Her modern twist to the Abaya
The traditional Muslim Abaya can be a bit basic and ordinary, however, she always adds a twist that elevates it, and we are totally here for it!
