Kemi Shonubi makes the list having ticked all the boxes. A licensed human resources (HR) executive, Kemi has multi-sectoral experience and deep expertise in people management, organizational development, and strategic planning.
She is currently the Director of People Culture Experience and Operations at TVC Communications. As a dedicated leader, Kemi works to create an enabling environment for employees to thrive. She extends this exceptional attribute in all her associations. Over time, she has built trust and respect as well as collaborative relationships to achieve positive outcomes with clients, senior management, colleagues, and staff.
She strives to attract, develop, and retain an engaged, high-performing workforce that drives sustainable growth by acquiring top talent, providing world-class learning and development programs, championing and modeling company values, and delivering competitive total rewards.
As a born leader, Kemi is keen on several development initiatives. Through 2017 and 2018, she was a Facilitator at the Ready-Set-Work employability and entrepreneurship programme organized in partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Education, which impacted over 5,000 students across nine tertiary institutions in Lagos State and over 20,000 students virtually. At the Mentor Africa Foundation, she mentors the youths to achieve their personal and professional goals.
Kemi is an erudite scholar. She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (ACIPMN), the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) USA, as well as the Nigerian Institute of Training & Development (NITAD). She is an alumna of the prestigious Cornell University, New York with a postgraduate certificate in Strategic HR Management, and also holds MBA and Bachelor of Science degrees in Human Resource Management and Accounting respectively from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
In her spare time, Kemi immerses herself in the world of books and writing. She takes interest in writing about the workplace and life experiences. Her latest project is an HR Storyteller Platform, oriented towards transforming the HR practice and workplace cultures with the art and power of storytelling.
