The number of women entrepreneurs paving the way within fast-growing sectors in the country is increasing at a considerably impressive rate. Women are fearlessly plying routes that were once deemed a men-only path. This isn’t to say the global female goal is to snatch the helm from their male counterparts in diverse facets (although this isn’t entirely a bad idea) rather, it is to create and compete under equal circumstances. Our Woman Crush Wednesday Ndidi Nwuneli is a force to reckon with in the youth development sector.

As the founder of LEAP Africa, a leading nonprofit organization that provides social entrepreneurs, youths and small-scale business owners with leadership training and executive coaching services, the social entrepreneur has come a long way in youth empowerment and capacity building. She was bestowed with the national honour, Member of the Federal Republic in 2004 by the former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo.
Being able to continuously scale through the hurdles of entrepreneurship in a unique non-supportive environment like ours is a feat worth highlighting.
