Our woman crush this Wednesday is the exceptional lawyer Tosin Ajose, with over ten years’ experience in the legal profession. Tosin is well known for her commercial savvy, excellent analytical skills, vast transactional experience, and her relentless desire to add value to her clients through innovative solutions, forward-thinking, and attention to detail.
She is an IFLR ranked lawyer, with over 100 transactions to her credit across corporate, commercial, mergers & acquisitions, private equity, capital markets, finance and infrastructure practice areas. Tosin until very recently headed the Real Estate/Construction, Capital Markets and Corporate Commercial Teams at a top tier commercial law firm in Nigeria. She left the firm to set up DealHQ Partners, a boutique Africa-focused transaction advisory law firm that is fast gaining ground as a go-to firm for innovative, out-of-the-box advisory for very discerning clients.
Tosin has done extensive policy work in the financial services space, first as a Legal Enabler under the Central Bank of Nigeria’s FSS 2020 initiative, and subsequently, as a professional member of the National Housing Finance Programme set up by the Federal Ministry of Finance with a mandate to overhaul the Nigerian mortgage finance sector. She is a volunteer with the Presidential Delivery Unit, Office of the President Federal Republic of Nigeria, and is a member of the Mining thematic group of the National Economic Summit Group.
As a thought leader in the real estate, construction, and capital markets space, as well as an astute public speaker, it is not surprising that Tosin holds several local and international speaking engagements annually both within and outside the legal industry. Tosin also shares her knowledge with the next generation – she is a regular resource person and trainer at the Pan-African University (Lagos Business School) and the Centre for Housing Studies (University of Lagos).

Tosin Ajose is truly a phenomenal woman.
