With the Corona pandemic outbreak, working from home has become the ‘new normal’. It comes with its own perks. Asides serving a way to stay safe and healthy, there is less stress of commuting daily and is cost-effective.
There is always this feeling of wanting to laidback since you are working from the confines of your home. Truth is, if you don’t have a working strategy and routine that you follow religiously, you may end wasting precious time and getting nothing done.
It is required that you give in the same input working from as you would have done in the workplace. This may not be attainable with the level of distractions at home. But with the right strategy, you would find that you are maximising your time.
To maximise your working home, you need to ‘dress for success’. Working with pyjamas is a no-no. It sends a signal to your brain that you are still in sleep mode.
This does not necessarily mean you have to dress in formal wears while working from home. Just look for something comfortable and presentable since you are indoors.
You need a new ‘work from home wardrobe’ consisting of dresses, denim, joggers and tee-shirts preferable for the sole purpose of work from home.
Thereafter, take a shower. Ensure you make your bed. Get dressed and have your breakfast. Ensure you have time for prayer/meditation.
