Popular Nigerian-American Writer, Luvvie Ajayi has teamed up with Nigerian-America stand-up comedian and actress, Yvonne Orji, who plays our favourite character, Molly, on the series, Insecure. This dynamic duo is set to start a new podcast, themed, Jesus and Jollof – two things Nigerians are passionate about.
Through this podcast, they’ll be exploring their stories as Nigerians living in the United States and how their background has influenced their daily lives, careers, relationships and everything and everyone connected to them. They’ll also be talking about things they love and life for them, in general.
It is no doubt that Yvonne loves Jesus as she often makes it known to anyone who cares to listen, so she probably has the Jesus side covered. On the other hand, Luvvie is a humorous soul, who spreads her light and laughter everywhere.
Here’s what they had to say about the podcast,
The first season of Jesus and Jollof explores our stories, as Nigerian women who grew up in the United States. Being artists was not the plan, but how did it happen for us? From hilarious discussions about our squad to the pains of the glow up, we bring our hearts and humour to Jesus and Jollof!
This is bound to be a hit, we can already tell. Would you be subscribing?
