It’s going to be the second edition of the Afrobeat party on August 1st and 2nd, when the New Afrika Shrine and Street Media Solutions present the annual musical concert that celebrate a Nigerian musical genre that is celebrated world-wide.
The 2013 edition witnessed an array of display from trend setting artistes like K-Switch, Shank, General Pype amongst many others.
Since its inception, The Afrobeat Party has created a networking atmosphere for music lovers and the socially active population of our society.
According to Mr Yemi Williams, Co- Head, Street Media Solutions, “This year would be its second edition and all arrangements have been made to celebrate the 17th year passage of the greatest music icon -Fela Anikulapo- Kuti in a memorable way that will stay in the hearts of many for a long time.”
The 2-day event is scheduled to kick-off on Friday, August 1 and end on Saturday, August 2, exactly 17 years of the Legend’s demise. The events start 7pm dally.
Artistes to perform at the show include Dammy Krane, Chocolate City artistes, K- Switch, Runtown, Efa. Cynthia Morgan, Tillaman, Shank, Flowsick and Remi Aluko among others.
