Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. This is undisputable. Like everything worth keeping, beauty is a process and needs effort. Makeup and outfits make us look great but there are other little things that can make staying beautiful easy. Most times, these little things are ignored but they matter.
One thing that can not be overlooked is confidence. If you get everything right but is timid, you rule out your chance of being beautiful. walk with your shoulders high, stand tall and smile and let your beauty shine. Others things to consider include:
- Wash your face before bedtime
Some ladies tend to forget washing their faces before bedtime because they are tired or lazy. With the dust, worn out makeup and other bacteria in the air, they gather and settle on the face. It is good to get rid of those layers of dirts before sleeping. If you can’t have a full bath, at least wash your face before going to bed.
- Don’t touch your face
This could be difficult but you should learn to stop touching your face because the hands are quick to pick up dirts. If your subconsciously pinch that pimple, scratch an itch on your nose or rub your eyes, you are transmitting dirts to your face which can lead to build up of breakouts, eczema and other skin irritations.
- Brush before sleep
Most people brush once in the morning. Since the mouth does a lot of work during the day, it may have residues from food eaten. This can affect the gums and teeth overtime. To protect yourself from mouth odour and tooth decay, brush before bedtime.
- Moisturise
Water does not only cleanse, it hydrates, revitalises and satisfies. A large percentage of the body is made up of water so the body requires water. Asides drinking water, ensure you moisturise your skin. Your skin needs moisture so use a good body lotion to do that.
- Sleep
Have your beauty sleep. Stop depriving yourself of sleep. The body undergoes repair whenever you sleep. You should sleep before midnight. Research says that an hour sleep before midnight is as effective for resting as two hours’ sleep after midnight. Early to bed means early to rise. Your body would thank you for sleeping well.
