Tinted hair is stylish and trendy when you have the right style and colour. Using chemical dye on your hair no matter how good has over time proven to cause hair breakage thereby leading to major damage. The best way is to go the natural route when tinting your hair. You can naturally tint your hair without using dye with:
Coffee
Coffee would be great if you want to darken your hair colour, cover gray hairs, or add dimension to dark tresses naturally. All you have to do is to brew a strong coffee. Then let it cool, and then mix one cup with a couple of cups of leave-in conditioner and 2 tablespoons of coffee grounds. Apply on clean hair and allow to sit for about an hour. If you use apple cider vinegar to rinse, it will make the colour last longer. You may need to do this repeatedly to get the desired results.
Henna Powder
Henna powder is derived from the leaves of the henna plant. These leaves have a natural and effective colouring pigment that has been used for thousands of years to dye hair, nails, and skin. Natural henna, on its own, creates a red-orange colour so if you want to be a Redhead or a brunette, go for henna. It usually turns out more orange than usual so you can mix it with a little chamomile into a paste to tame the colour.
Lemon Juice
Over time, lemon has lightening properties which can be used to lighten your hair. Simply take fresh-squeezed lemon juice, then spray and brush through the hair. Leave it on for several hours. If you sit in the sun, you’ll notice more lightening.
Walnut Shell
Walnut fruit can help you achieve dark brown hair colour. Simply get your walnut shells and crush them then boil for about half an hour. Cool, strain, and apply to hair. If your grey hair is your only concern, instead of pouring it all over your hair, just get a ball of cotton wool and use it to apply to the stresses of your hair. To make the dark brown colour of hair last longer, you can use the walnut powder by grinding the shell and using the powder. Use lukewarm water instead of hot water when you are washing out the liquid from your hair.
