Here is how to brush your teeth the right way:
- Brush lightly
Contrary to belief, hard brushing instead of making the teeth cleaner, damages the gums and teeth. Brush your teeth mildly using short, gentle strokes and paying attention to the gums, areas around fillings, crown and other areas of the teeth.
- Brush twice daily
Health experts recommend brushing twice daily i.e. in the morning and at night before go to bed. By brushing twice daily, you remove food particles hiding in your teeth. While brushing in the morning will clear away the plaque that accumulated overnight, brushing at night helps to prevent your teeth from getting attacked by bacteria.
- Use soft-bristled toothbrush
It is highly recommended to use an extra-soft or soft-bristled toothbrush. Change your toothbrush regularly. Worn out toothbrush are no longer effective in cleaning the teeth.
