Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw is in our spotlight today. She has a captivating smile that lights up a room. Born in Cross Rivers state, Kate is the oldest of four children. She schooled in St. Mary private primary school in Ajele, Lagos before proceeding to the Federal Government Girl College, Calabar for her secondary school education.
Having spent one year at the University of Calabar studying remedial studies and then majored in Medical Microbiology at the School of Medical Lab Science afterwards, LUTH (Lagos University Teaching Hospital) in Lagos, Henshaw worked at the Bauchi State General Hospital.
Prior to becoming an actress, Henshaw worked as a model where she featured in various commercials. In 1993, Henshaw auditioned for the lead role in the movie When the Sun Sets and was chosen for the role. This was her first appearance in a major Nollywood movie and as they say, the rest is history.
Henshaw has starred in over 45 Nollywood movies and is the recipient of several awards. Henshaw is big on keeping fit. On social media, she shares videos of her working out and dancing as part of the “fitfam”.
