Andre Villas-Boas has been appointed as the head coach of Zenit St Petersburg on a two-year contract.
The former Spurs and Chelsea boss will start work on Thursday, with a league game against Krylya Sovetov.
Villas-Boas has experienced a mixed bag during his coaching career, after a successful spell at Porto where his team won the Europa League and managed an undefeated league campaign, he moved to Chelsea where he was sacked after a mere eight months.
He moved to Spurs where he enjoyed a successful first season but after the sale of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid and his expensive additions that didn’t quite take off he was sacked in December last year.
What do you think of the appointment? Will Villas-Boas get his mojo back in Russia?
