General Electric Co has pledged to invest $2 billion in Africa by 2018 to boost infrastructure, worker skills and access to energy, an announcement timed to coincide with a United States f America summit meeting of nearly 50 African leaders which ends today. A Nigerian soft-sell, Icon Weekly, has apologised to popular singer, Tuface Idibia, over a publication linking the artiste with adultery. In its March edition, the weekly magazine had reported that one Teniola, a Lagos-based banker and graduate of the University of Lagos, Akoka, was pregnant for the award-winning music superstar. Consequently, 960 Music Group, Tuface Idibia’s management released a statement refuting the report, and slamming a N100 million suit on the news outfit.
