Telecommunications company, Etisalat, has announced highlife legend, Bright Chimezie and trending reggae/dance hall artiste, Patoranking as the lead acts in the next edition of its music platform, Etisalat Cloudnine, scheduled to take place Port Harcourt on Saturday, June 21.
Described as an exclusive, never-before-seen performance, acting Chief Executive Officer of Etisalat Nigeria, Matthew Willsher explained that the Etisalat Cloudnine platform was created as an avenue for the company’s customers to access exclusive music content, while also promoting home grown talent in the music industry. He added that Etisalat Cloudnine uses music to deepen customer engagement.
“Etisalat Cloudnine is a first of its kind music platform and a reflection of our innovative nature. It is our way of sharing in the passions of our customers whom we consider to be our greatest asset – we understand that our customers chose not just phones or services but brands that associate with their lifestyle. We are pleased to present to our customers a unique blend of Nigerian music performances from breakthrough artistes and legendary iconic musicians,” he said.
The platform was successfully launched in Lagos in August 2013 with exhilarating live performances by Afro juju legend, Sir Shina Peters and breakthrough Afro pop sensation Seyi Shay. In December the platform was extended to the Abuja audience with a session which featured the legendary Sir Victor Uwaifo and rising star Emma Nyra. .
