Did you use any of these as alternative to blackouts?

It’s Thursday, a good time for some throwbacks. Today we would be looking at some household items that were trendy or popular back then.  Let’s see if you can identify with any of them:

1. Rechargeable Radio lamp

This was popular among bachelors. You would also find them in every household as the perfect alternative to a power blackout.

2. Lantern

The globe is the most delicate part of the lantern. Some of us struggled with careful handling it. Another annoying thing about the lantern is it used to release smoke but it was another alternative to blackout. 

3. Candle

Still very much in usage, the candle is good for romantic dinners. But on those days, there was no source of power, it was the fastest means of light.

4. Lighter

It could be used to light the gas cooker or even cigarette, but it was another available source of light. 

5. Bulb

It is still serving its purpose presently. Now newer kinds are surfacing. The light reflection is wonderful.
